What benefits do employees really value?

When employees are asked which benefits would be most valuable for them, a majority opts for benefits that help then to combine work with quality of life, and the value of work-life integration cuts across different generations.
As an employer, what does this mean in practice?

Flexibility and work-life integration

  • outcome based environment, not presenteism
  • flexible working/hours
  • baseline of trust

Learning

  • opportunities for learning and advancement

Well-Being

  • supporting physical and mental health
  • alignment of values
  • the value of saying thank you
The majority of these benefits and work-live integration are "culture-based" and do not involve necessarily great financial investment but rather commitment and this is achievable by big organisation and small businesses alike.
