Bits and bobs

"The One Minute Apology" by Ken Blanchard and Margaret McBride

The One Minute Apology is an engaging parable which delivers one of Blanchard's essential management principle: The Apology (the others are Goal Setting, Praising and Reprimanding). It is a step-by-step guide on how to accept responsibility for own errors and deal with the cause of the damage caused while maintaining a sense of own integrity.

The One Minute Apology offers anybody - but particularly useful in a work environment - a way of approaching one of life's dilemmas: how to admit and accept that we have made a wrong decision and how to correct it by making a meaningful apology (I stress the word meaningful - just sorry won't do).

The book can be read quickly and is quite simple but the techniques described and the message will undoubtedly resonate and have significant results both in a work environment  and at home.

No need for more fancy stuff when simple and easy will do.
