Networking to develop your career
There are many different ways to develop your career but one way which is frequently overlooked is networking especially in the permanent employment market.
Sometime who you know is more important than what you know...
Firstly keep yourself up to date with what is going on within your industry (or the industry you would like to develop your career in). Read articles , newsletters etc. and learn from them.
Share your knowledge among your connections , you will be at the forefront of their minds and establish your expertise at the same time.
Network with purpose and connect to people and businesses that you can learn from and you can add value to and them to you.
Join industry groups, attend conferences and participate in forums, you will both find people to connect with and that can connect you to others in the industry.
